As Zentis Osaka enters its fifth year, the distinctive urban oasis will be celebrating with the event ‘Salon de Zentis ~Blues Night~’ in collaboration with acclaimed music producer Naoki Tachikawa, and welcoming broadcaster Peter Barakan.
Since opening its doors in July 2020, Zentis Osaka has been host to events and projects with focuses on art, music and craftsmanship, in line with Zentis’ concept of offering ‘Encounters of a New Kind’. The fourth anniversary event will be a special edition of the ‘Salon de Zentis’ series events collaborating with Naoki Tachikawa, with Peter Barakan joining as a special guest.
The lineup of blue songs for the evening will not be finalized until the event – Tachikawa and Barakan will select what to play on the spot to match the atmosphere and mood of the guests, accompanied by an in-depth talk session with the duo. Taking place in UPSTAIRZ Lounge, Bar, Restaurant, a dinner buffet arranged exclusively for this event will be served.
About ‘Salon de Zentis’
‘Salon de Zentis’ aims to present an exceptional music experience with high-end audio equipment from Technics at Zentis Osaka, a hotel that aims to be the place where serendipitous encounters lead to unexpected acquaintances under the concept “Encounters of a New Kind”.
The event series featuring Naoki Tachikawa is held regularly, celebrating legendary musicians on the anniversaries of their passing with an engaging talk session by the renowned producer against the soundtrack of their greatest hits.

Peter Barakan
Born 1951 in London, England. Graduated from Japanese department, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 1973. Moved to Japan in 1974 to work at a music publishing company. Currently works as a freelance broadcaster with a number of regular television and radio appearances, including “Barakan Beat” (interfm), “WEEKEND SUNSHINE” (NHK-FM) and “Japanology Plus” (NHK WORLD). Awarded the Best DJ Personality in the 50th Galaxy Awards for, in recognition of passion for broadcasting music of a diverse nature.
Naoki Tachikawa
Born 1949. A producer and director involved in a wide range genres from music, film, fine arts and theater on the theme of media exchange since the early 70’s. His expertise extends to rock, jazz, classical and film music, art, stage production and urban development, while his unique perspective as a music critic and essayist has also gained him popularity.
